Mongolian meeting minutes: a practical template
Turn a Mongolian meeting transcript into clear decisions, owners and deadlines. Includes a reusable minutes template, a worked example and a review checklist.
Good Mongolian meeting minutes make four things clear: what was discussed, what was decided, who owns the next action, and when it is due. A transcript helps you check what people said; it does not automatically become an approved record of decisions. Use this template for project updates, internal team meetings and client discussions, adapting it to your organization's own requirements.
Transcript, summary or minutes?
A transcript records the spoken conversation. A summary condenses its main points. Meeting minutes connect the discussion to confirmed decisions and follow-up work.
Those differences matter when a conversation is tentative. “Could we finish by Friday?” is a question, not a commitment to deliver on Friday. If nobody accepted ownership, write “owner to be confirmed” rather than assigning a person because they happened to introduce the topic.

The following is an internal working template, not a substitute for an organization's formal approval process. Repeat the discussion, decision and action sections for each agenda item.
MEETING MINUTES

Purpose of the meeting:
1. DISCUSSION
- Topic:
- Main proposals and reasons:
- Questions left open:
2. DECISION
- Confirmed decision:
- Relevant project or workstream:
- Conditions or limitations:
3. ACTION
- Specific deliverable:
- Owner:
- Due date:
- Reviewer or recipient:
4. FOLLOW-UP
- Next meeting:
- Information still needed:
- Reviewed by and review date:
Write actions as observable outputs. “Research suppliers” is hard to close. “Compare three supplier quotations in one document” tells the owner and reviewer what completion looks like. A date is useful only when someone actually agreed to it.
A worked example
The people, project and dates below are fictional and illustrate the template.
Meeting: Website update. Date: September 7, 2026. Participants: Anu, Bat and Saruul.
Discussion: The team reviewed a new registration page. Anu proposed fewer fields. Bat asked whether the support team needs phone numbers at signup.
Decision: Prepare a name-and-email version for internal testing. The public launch date is not yet agreed.
Actions: Anu will prepare the design by September 10 and send it to Bat for review. Saruul will confirm the phone-number requirement with support; the deadline for that task remains open.
The unresolved launch date and task deadline are part of the record. Leaving them visible is more useful than making a polished summary appear more certain than the discussion was.
How to turn a recording into minutes
- Make the recording, processing and sharing arrangements clear to participants before the meeting.
- Locate the discussion of decisions and follow-up work in the transcript.
- Separate proposals from decisions that were actually confirmed.
- Check names, amounts and dates against the recording.
- Confirm ownership and deadlines with the relevant participants.
- Share the reviewed version with the intended audience.
For a live meeting workflow, Duudlaga Meeting provides a notetaker and meeting report experience. Admission depends on the platform, configuration and host permissions. If you already have an MP3 or WAV recording, use the separate audio-file transcription workflow. The Flow and Meeting comparison explains which product fits each task.
Reviewing Mongolian and English together
A bilingual meeting may switch languages in the middle of an action item. Preserve the original spelling of a product name where it helps identify the item. Check whether an English phrase was a deliverable, a quoted example or a tentative suggestion. Do not silently translate every technical term if doing so makes the record harder for the team to use.
A short review is especially valuable for numbers. Confusing a proposed budget with the approved budget changes the meaning of the minutes even when the surrounding words are correct. Use the transcript review checklist to keep these checks consistent.
Common questions
Must meeting minutes include every spoken word?
That depends on the organization's requirements. For working team minutes, the purpose, decisions, actions and open questions often provide the most useful record, with a transcript available for checking details.
Can an AI summary be shared without review?
Review names, figures, dates, decisions and task ownership first. A fluent summary can still misrepresent a tentative discussion. Assign a person to approve the final version rather than treating the generated draft as approval.
